President - Engineering

Mr. Ward is the President of Astorino’s Engineering Division. He is a registered engineer with over 25 years of experience and highly developed skills in project budgeting, scheduling, design and management. He is responsible for the management of project teams and oversight of all design activities to ensure successful project delivery through technical integrity, operational performance and overall quality control. He plays an active role in business development by continuously developing and maintaining strong client and consultant relationships. Additionally, Mr. Ward is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Division.

Since joining Astorino in 1986, Mr. Ward has provided a full range of consulting engineering services for a wide array of project types such as primary and secondary education, criminal justice, transportation, commercial, healthcare, research and light industrial projects.

Mr. Ward is well respected in the design community and is a member of numerous industry associations and serves on several boards and committees. He is also a frequent lecturer, giving presentations on a variety of relevant technical topics. These have included presentations to the Pittsburgh Chapter of ASHRAE and the Society of Hospital Engineers, as well as the Pittsburgh AIA and Green Building Alliance, on topics such as HVAC design strategies for healthcare facilities and building commissioning.

In addition to his role as President of the Engineering
Division, Mr. Ward serves as Principal/Senior Vice President responsible for the administration and delivery of design services to criminal justice, transportation, sports and government clients. His responsibilities include marketing, project management, design and planning oversight, client relations and subconsultant coordination.
