Astorino was recently named as one of the nation’s leading architectural and engineering firms by Engineering News-Record (ENR). The publication ranked Astorino at 433 among the country’s Top 500 design firms for 2012. Chosen from more than 1,000 firms that submitted data for the survey, the Top 500 companies are ranked according to revenue for design services performed in 2011.
The signs of the recession’s end can be seen in ENR’s Top 500 list. Taken as a group, the firms had overall design revenue of $85.06 billion in 2011, up 6.6%, from $79.82 billion in 2010. This uptick is reflected in Astorino’s improved ranking, from 499 in the previous year to its current placement at 433. The survey marks the first time in three years that the Top 500 experienced revenue growth for the year.
The ranking also distinguishes Astorino for its integrated project delivery process. The full-service firm is recognized for its innovative, integrated approach that provides each client with a single source of responsibility for their entire project. This unique delivery method encompasses a complete spectrum of services – from research and planning through design and construction management – resulting in superior communication and enhanced project control that ultimately presents the client with a streamlined project delivery and greater cost savings.
“We are very pleased with the ranking we’ve received,” said Louis P. Astorino, CEO. “In our business, we approach every project with two goals in mind -- design excellence and client satisfaction. We strive to create architecturally innovative spaces that are based on the needs of the people who inhabit them. It is an honor to be consistently featured among the industry’s top architecture and engineering firms.”
