Astorino, is quite fond of saying “the best way to get a good idea is to get a lot of ideas,” and our design process reflects that philosophy. We brainstorm solutions and then test them for their effectiveness, often incorporating elements of various ideas to strengthen the overall concept. Each iteration teaches us something new that informs our design.

The Astorino team provides architectural, engineering, research and construction services using an integrated delivery approach that we call “Astorino 360.” The term 360 is used as a metaphor that references the inclusiveness of a circle which illustrates the inclusiveness of our approach. The 360 approach encourages connection, collaboration, and communication among all members of the project team early in the design process, resulting in a design solution that is supported by all parties, delivered in a straightforward and efficient manner that meets the needs of our clients.

As an extension of Astorino 360, we believe that a true understanding of user needs is critical to any successful design. We achieve this understanding by conducting consumer-centered research through our affiliate company, fathom. fathom provides experts in psychology, anthropology and sociology using a patented process that is based in neuroscience to uncover the deepest needs of the user groups. These experts then apply a formalized process that translates those deep needs into design priorities.
